Take-out at Maneki

Last week we had an unexpected glimpse of summer weather; everyone and their extended families came out to bask in the sunshine! Because of the exceptional weather, I made plans to hangout and roam around the city with some friends. And these plans always involve food. On Thursday, Adri and I checked out Maneki: they are a very hip Asian take-out spot that borrows flavors from many different Asian cuisines. Adri and I ordered a chicken Thai fried rice with salt and pepper fried tofu. Both dishes were less than $10 and the portions were just right. What makes this spot special is that they have all the typical Asian American dishes but without the dingy Chinatown diner decor. I'm already looking forward to go back and try their General Tao chicken :)
